Galley grey tank
Seem to have a small leak in galley grey tank when draining a sinkful of water.
Does anyone know an easy way of getting to the galley grey tank?

There is not usually an easy way, you will most likely have to drop the bottom membrane beneath the rig to gain access.

Had our galley tank replaced last week at Choo Choo RV in Chattanooga, TN. Ours is a rear kitchen model and wasn't too hard to R & R. Same day service after making reservation 3 weeks in advance. Excellent work and fair price (in my opinion) at $942.00. One year parts and labor warranty.

Dropped the membrane but could not see the tank. If we leave the valve open it doesn't leak.

The galley tank is right above where the 1.5" line comes thru the belly pan and angles towards your main dump connection. Usually above or right behind the axles. If you drop the corrugated plastic belly material and pull the astofoam out of the way, you'll see it as there is noting else to speak of inbetween the frame rails. Some have had luck with the plastic repair kits that require a heated pen type tool ... others have got by with JB Weld. I've not had long term success with either ... replace the tank.

They usually leak at the inlet so you will not be able to see it.

Plasti-mend uses chemicals meant to melt and re-join abs plastic back together. This is what ozz reccomended on forum, what I used and works great. You can search for tank repair and should find all the things you need to do to drop and repair the tank. John
