frame flex

Hello. What years or models are related to frame flex issues? I notice a difference in space between the top of the pin box and the front cap of rv and when I am hooked up to the truck
it is a lot less of a gap. Thank you for any input to this matter

Mine was a 2006. I think it was around 2005-2008 or longer.

It has occurred on some newer rigs, but I haven't heard of it since they went to the bigger frame. If I understand what you're saying you do need to have someone who knows look at it. Moving gaps in the front cap are what a factory rep told me to look for.

It definitely was a factor in 2012, I had significant frame flex on my 3402RL. I did lots of research and have some information you might like to have to help determine what is going on with yours if indeed it is frame flex.
Send me a PM if you would like my information.

Hope it is not what you suspect.

Had it frame flex on a 2001 3295RK
Had it frame flex on a 2005 3400RL which was totaled by insurance company.
2010 we went with a TrailAir Tri Glide pin box with no more problems.

We had the issue you describe as well. We did not have a significant problem(at least that's what we were told). No structural deficiencies, but the front closet right interior side was damaged due to the movement, which I am told, some is normal. The wall was replaced and we've had no further issues.

There are two things that cause that gap to occur. 1) the frame is actually broken at the overhang causing the entire overhang to flex.
2) the sidewall has broken loose from the framing and the sidewall is moving causing the gap. We had both problems on our 06 3400 and have seen the framing loose on later years. front cap has to com off to determine which cause it is.
