Landing gear lubrication

Do you lubricate your landing gear and how??

I've never lubed ours but plan to while in the current rv park. There's another thread or two where this was discussed and that convinced me it can't hurt. I'll probably use a light layer of white grease used for hitch lubrication. I don't know if this is the best way or not.
