Temporarily you will have to put a valve on the end of your dump line where you attach the hose.
If you can do that you could try to fill your gray water tanks and then open the gray valve and try to back flush the black tank valve. It might clear any clog you have.

This isn’t what prndl is referring to. I keep one on at all times.

I had to do this when in Canada till I could finally get the valve to clear. When I got home I installed one permanently in the discharge line just prior to the hose connection.

We had an issue with the black valve on our previous (SOB) 5er and bought the Valterra valve when I learned about it on the other forum. When we traded for the Montana in April, we bought one for this trailer, not because we needed it, but for "insurance". It's the cheapest and most effective fix for tank valve issues.

And if you want to make the Valterra valve permanent, drill a small hole in the connection tabs and put a screw in it so it doesn't turn and detach when you take the hose connection off. On mine, it was tight and would turn the whole thing and come off the trailer.

Bookem, since the valve is stuck open, does any water come out the drain when you put water in the tank like flushing the tank or flushing the toilet?
Trying to figure if you are stuck open from a clog or from a bad valve?

It is stuck open. So we could use the pot that was the only good thing about it. I we went and bought the valve that was suggested. Until CW can fix it.

On the bright side, at least it's stuck open. If it were stuck closed, you would be needing to crawl under the rig and make repairs, or have a mobile guy do that.

We had a similar problem with ours except it just wouldn't open. Turned out it was a seized cable and a new cable and valve had to be installed. The guy who came out to fix it said it was a common problem with our set-up. Believe it or not, Keystone paid for all but the house call. It was under warranty but they wanted us to take it to a nearby camping world to get it fixed but we were leaving the next morning so that wasn't going to happen as cancelling reservations would have cost more. All worked out fine in the end.

We think it’s a seized cable as well.
