RVSEF- RV Weight & tire safety 9/3 UPDATE

Please do not use the online link at this time, there may be a problem with it.

This may be one of the most important presentations and service you experience at the Rally.

Weight & Tire Safety Training and Wheel Position RV Weighing by RVSEF at the Montana Owners Club Rally in Goshen, IN

Knowing and managing your RV weight ratings is an important aspect of RV maintenance. Slides outs, appliances, generators, fuel, water tanks, etc. combine to make a vehicle which is great for living but not often built symmetrically. Then we load the RV with our stuff, which adds to the likelihood that we may have hidden side to side weight safety issues.

At the upcoming Montana Owners Club Rally, we at the RV Safety & Education Foundation (rvsafety.com) consider it a privilege to be able to help you understand these potential weight issues, including the primary safety concern as you travel down the road: your tires. We will be conducting a class on RV weights and RV Tires during the Rally. Please plan to come and learn about these important issues for your safety and the safety of those travelling around you.

RVSEF will also provide the opportunity sign up for wheel position weighing service at this year's Rally. Weighing your RV by wheel position will reveal these issues and will provide peace of mind as you know and understand more accurately the specific aspects of your own Recreation Vehicle. With this knowledge and with our trained counsel, we can help you manage these issues, as well as how to find the proper tire inflation for your specific situation and equipment.

This weighing service is available for a cost of $60.

Please visit our online appointment form [s](http://rvsafety.com/rvweigh-sites/montana)[/s] to learn more about this service and to make an appointment to get your RV weighed at the Montana Owners Club Rally.

You do not have to sign up for the presentation, just show up at the large tent at 2:30 on Thursday. You will also be able to sign up for the service at that time or later during the week.

If you know you want your RV & truck weighed you can sign up now at the site listed above.

I know what some of you are thinking: $60!? Well, what's peace of mind worth to you? If you've never had your loaded rig weighed, then you may be in for a rude awakening. How about finding out one of your axels is carrying more weight than the tire is rated for? Or that your pin weight exceeds your truck's rating? It happens, and unless you get everything weighed, you'll never know for sure.

$60 here is well spent and could save you a lot more, along grief and headaches later on. And if you full time, maybe you can deduct it on your taxes.

Is this done at your site or do you have to take your RV somewhere?

The weighing will be done in the fairgrounds parking lot, not at your site. They will weight your truck sometime during the Rally and then the truck and RV on you way out on Wednesday after the Rally.
More details will be provided at the safety session on Thursday.
