I thought it might be interesting to have a thread where we can 'confess' to messing up. That might be while backing into a site, setting up, breaking down, or just sitting there. So how about it? I have plenty to add but Vicki wants me to take her shopping so will have to add mine later.
I also thought maybe the new folks just starting out might learn from it and also would see that making a mistake is nothing to be embarrassed about. We all do it plenty of times. For me it's often when I somehow get out of my routine.
OK, I have a few minutes reprieve. Recently I dropped the trailer on the truck (dropped as in doing it properly), raised the landing gear slightly and decided i really need to start doing the pull test to make sure we're properly connected. So I did that and then my routine got broken by a neighbor coming over. When we pulled out Vicki asked me what that scraping sound is. We'd gone about 100 feet with the landing hear a half inch off the ground. Fortunately there was almost no damage. One gear sticks just a little when I lift it to it's top hole and when I go to lower it. I was very fortunate. (sigh).
