Picture and other wall hanging?

Has anyone any experience with hanging pictures or other kinds of racks (i.e. spice racks, etc) on walls? We'd like to hang a spice rack and other wall things but are concerned about whether the walls and cabinet bottoms will support the weight?

We have used "3M" brand Command Picture Hanging Strips. They hold pictures to the wall securely and can be removed without causing damage. For mounting knick knacks to horizontal surfaces we use "Quake Hold" also referred to as museum putty. Again, it holds items securely and can be removed without causing damage. As for anchoring things to walls, I have used standard wall anchors for things like toothbrush holders in our current rig and a small (6-8 bottle) spice rack in our last rig. Just be aware you will be putting a hole or holes in the wall.

We use velcro for our pictures. They can be changed whenever it seems like they must.

We have had good luck with "Hercules Hooks". You only have to make a very small hole and insert the thin wire hook into the wall. They are holding two fish decorations in the bathroom. We take them down when we travel but lately forgot about them and they rode just fine so we have left them. Check them out on the web. I think they are what you need. Ken

I have a 3400RL and from the beginning used 3M hooks and 3Mvelcro style picture hangers. They are available in different sizes for wieght/strength issues and hold well and are easy to move. Don't know about a spice rack...I just place mine on the lip behind the stove. Remember though...check them often to make sure they are still holding. We winter in the desert..low humidity and sticky does dry out after a time. Also I so still remove my pictures etc for travel, just leave up mounting device. Nothing worse than having something fall on top of slide and crunch...when you open. Have fun decorating..Teresa

DH used expandable plastic wallhangers that are rated for 10 lbs when he installed a wooden shelf in the bathroom. We have been on some rough roads and it has held well. We used velcro for a light weight clock.

We use the 3M Command System to hang pictures. I do not want to put any holes in the Montana walls. Several years ago when we were shopping for the Montana we saw a wonderful used 5er, but when we went in to check it out it looked like there were nail and screw holes everywhere. That really detracts from the value of the trailer.
