2015 Chevy Owners Question
Did your truck come with an integrated brake controller? If yes, was it in a package or a standard item? How about a separate odometer for monitoring the mileage on the trailer? I know that Ford and Ram trucks have this item.
We stopped at our dealer the other day and found a 2015 3500 SRW which is exactly what I wanted. Got offered a nice sum for my truck on a trade but not sure if the new one is lacking some towing package option that would be needed.

John, I'm pretty sure it has a braking feature like the others. My Ford works when I'm in Tow/haul mode.

Came with the integrated brake controller, and two odometers....but you have to set the odometers, they do not automatically know when a trailer is connected.

Have a GMC, has engine brake you can turn on and off when you want to, has integrated trailer brake which is connected to the entire truck systems, will kill sway if it occurs automatically ( not an issue with a fiver) Tows well, we have a 3582 , I get very good mileage also. Like our ford company trucks but no complaints with my GMC. Ride is much nicer than our fords when empty also. GMC in my everyday driver

2015 Chev SRW 3500 came with integrated brake, exhaust brake and have been really happy with it. It pulls 3402rl with no problem in mountainous areas. Fuel consumption is excellent averaged 11.2 mpg on 2100 mile trip from southern Idaho to Northern Idaho and then across to middle of Montana, back down through Yellowstone and across southern Idaho.
Very happy with ride full or empty

My 2012 F350 6.7 had integrated brake controller that I am pretty sure is standard on Ford 1 ton trucks. It also detected when you hooked up to a trailer plus you could name the trailer. When I first purchased the truck I actually pulled the Montana, an enclosed construction trailer, plus a dump trailer. It kept track of how many miles I pulled each trailer.

Well there is a new 2015 Chevy 3500 SRW in the garage. Got a CRAZY amount for the '06 and a deal we could not refuse with rebates. I think the sales manager wanted my truck. Everything went with it. Told him it was a "turn key" tow vehicle. They stuffed it away from the general buying population. Now the task of equipping it with new stuff before next camping season. It does not have the ability to keep separate mileage for trailers but so be it. Will post pictures later.

We have a 2015 3500 SRW GMC, so basically the same thing. Ours has the trailering option on it, which was listed on the build sheet as such. I think most one tons have it, I believe you'd be hard pressed to find one without, unless it was the very basic "contractor's model". Has integrated brake controller, exhaust brake, and two odometers. You do have to reset each odometer each time. I use #1 for overall mileage driven on a trip, and the #2 odometer for the mileage between fill-ups, so I can track fuel consumption. You do need to reset them each time, or they'll just keep "racking up the miles"...!

John:
Dealer should be able to get you a build sheet by your vin #. Also a copy of the sticker.

Thanks for all the replies. I do have the window sticker and a copy of all the standard and optional items. The kicker is that we brought it home and parked it in the garage for 3 weeks as we left for Florida in the car. Once we get home I will be starting to add on the features that we left on the old truck.
