When I did the installation of the same EMS, I was pleased to discover that with a little moving around of factory installed parts I was able to install it directly beside the transfer switch. My transfer switch is located behind the first left side basement panel on the street side (side with the main doors), of the rig. This is the panel with the basement receptacles, cable hookup, etc. Here is a link to the post with some photos of how I did the installation. If you have the remote readout, this location allows for it to be placed out of site but very handily placed in the front coat closet.
