Slide Stop Modification

Well the 50 amp breaker that controls the hyd pump finally got to where it was taking 3 or 4 tries to get the slides in. I took the modification from Lippart and added 2 50 amps in a series and that seems to have stopped the problem.

If you put them in series I dont think your problem will be solved for long, they should be in parallel, in series you still have only 50amps. Each time a breaker trips it will weaken it and will trip a little sooner the next time.

I have learned to put out or bring in the 3 driver side slides then stop for 15 seconds. then I bring in the main slide. Sometimes I'll stop for a few seconds when bringing in the main slide. Total loss of time is less than 30 seconds.

Hey! I'm retired - I can put up with 30 seconds delay.

You are right Bill, my bad choice of words, they are paralle wired just like the pictures from Lippert and their wiring diagram. For those who have yet to experience this make sure you tell the Parts guy at the auto store that it is a Type 1 breaker. They kept trying to give me the wrong one.
