Anyone stay at any of these parks in San Diego

East Shore RV Park
Santee Lakes
Rancho Los Coches
Champange Lakes

We are looking for a good, clean, fun camp ground with facilities to handle our 335rlbs. Views and shade count allot. Want room from neighbor and will be there for 4 days in November.

Your opinions appreciated.

Been to Santee Lakes, would not reccommend it, lots are small and hard to maneuver. Reccomend Chula Vista, lots are large and very nice, not that much diffrence in distance, but worth the drive. Dont't know about the others never been there.

East Shore is a grate place but reservations are needed and section C & B prime spots stay away from area F .

Bob & Carol McCord,

Just an FYI, East Shore is in San Dimas. That's about 100 miles from San Diego.
Yes, I've stayed in area "F" at East Shore.

Our son is 22 and out on his own now.
We've only weekended there. When we call for reservations, that's the only area available.
I can tolerate screaming brats for a weekend but if I were fulltime, I think I'd find another park.

East Shore is one of our favorite parks. C is best but you do need to plan ahead. F has some really tight spots and some of the clerks in the office do not understand RV's. They are busier in the summer than fall, winter, spring. DO NOT go to Campland on the Bay in San Diego. We have heard Chula Vista is really nice. There is also a nice park in Escondio just north of San Diego.
Happy trails.....................

We really liked Bernardo Shores RV Resort at Imperial Beach. It's on the south end of metro San Diego so depends on where you need to be. We also stayed at Circle RV Park in El Cajon and liked it. They have a sister park just down the road that's similar but I can't recall the name. The Chula Vista KOA is nice as is the Chula Vista RV Resort. Vicki grew up in Chula Vista. All our kids were born there.

What I really liked about Bernardo Shores besides being a nice park was the seven foot privacy shrubbery all around three sides of the sites. This park does not have a lot of fun things, though. If I recall it may be an adults only park but I'm not sure about that.

Sounds like you might want something that caters to vacationers out for a good time. For that I'd recommend Campland on the Bay. Never been there but it's highly rated and I've heard many great reviews from those who went there to enjoy a vacation.
