San Antonio Luncheon????

We are settled into our winter site here in Lake Medina. Putting feelers out for a luncheon in or around San Antonio. We enjoy meeting other MOCers and would like to see if any interest in a luncheon/dinner somewhere. Thoughts??????

Would be interested if it isn't too far away. We are 40 miles east of Austin. San Antonio or San Marcos or Gruene or ?

Phil, We live here! So count us in. I really appreciate the email to get me to this site. I don't follow this listing but it sure looks like I should. A suggestion--there is a Rudy's Bar-b-que in New Branunfels that is off Texas 46 on the way to Gruen (if I spelled that correctly) or we can sure find enough spots around SA. For excellent Mexican food--El Chaparral in Helotes is GREAT!!!

Phil & Cathy, Ma & Pa will be in that area March 6- Apr 6th after 3 months in the valley (Mission Tx) I don't get on the form very much, but will try to look in while in Tx or could be reached at wilsonmp@qwickconnect.net. I think we met you at Goshen one of the last 3 years. Max

Rudy's in New Braunfels sounds good to us. We are available any day or weekend if someone would like to set a date. We are totally flexible right now. Waiting on med appts this December. We ate at El Chapparal the other day and you are correct. Food was great. We were there after the lunch and before the dinner crowd but they always seem to be busy at lunch and dinner.....

OK Here is the first option:
Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Rudy's Bar-B-Que in New Braunfels on Texas 46 at 11:30AM. This is a central location for folks in Austin and San Antonio. Let me know if you are interested.

2nd Option--If no one for out of San Antonio can make it
Tuesday December 1, 2009 at El Chaparral Mexican Restaurant in Helotes, Texas at 11:30AM

Send me an email or PM to confirm you can make it. I will notify everyone on Sunday Nov 29th of the selected Option.

For anyone else in the San Antonio/Austin area, OR just passing through, the luncheon is on for Rudy's in New Braunsfels on Tuesday, Dec 1 at 11:30AM. All are invited. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Thanks to TimandSusan for setting this up.

It was a very wet day, but warm inside Rudy's. We thoroughly enjoyed being together and getting better acquainted. I hope we can get more at the next lunch. I know there are others in the Austin area.

I checked on Clear Springs that is the otherway on Highway 46 from New Braunfels and it is open for lunch everyday. So we can keep that in mind for a January Lunch!
