Cooking Range Hood Vent Replacement

I need to replace the outside range hood vent. What can expect when I unscrew it from the outside wall? Are there any internal connections that need to be disconnected or is just the end of the vent and just slips in to it?

As far as I know, you have got it right. the inside comes off the back of your microwave. One slips over the other.

Is it because you lost the flapper, or is it being replaced for some other reason?
