Bedroom Door/Latch/2955RL

Afternoon everyone, I have a question on the bedroom doors on the 2955RL. Last trip out I know I latched the doors, upon arrival at the CG it was not latched. So when we left I made sure it was in the hole and the handle turned, checked the door and it was latched. Well we got home and I checked it and it was not latched and out of the hole. Does anyone have problems with theirs? Could the latch be defective in some way?

I have not had that problem with our bedroom doors. Actually the latch fits very tightly into the hole.

I've had ours do that a long time ago, although not the same model. I ended up adjusting the hardware that the doors hang on to raise the door and also found the hardware on the floor was loose. When we get ready to take off I check and double check it. In the beginning we had the one of the doors actually come off the track and make a real mess. It even broke off the screw in the track that was meant as a door stop. Do you have the plastic strap too and make sure that is snapped? I think the biggest problem was probably the loose hardware on the floor. Ours is a 2003 though, so I am assuming the set up is similar even though you have a level bedroom floor?

Don't know if any of the above will help or not. It did solve it for us.

Yes we also have the strap( I think that this what is probably holding it when it comes out of the pin.) I looked at all of the hardware and there is none lose, the only thing I can see is the one wheel on top of one of the doors looks to be a little bent. So I bent it back. Maybe it was the trouble, will have to wait and see next time out. Thanks for your help.

The only time I had a problem with the bedroom doors came when I forgot to put the pin down in the floor latch. It came off the track and fortunately fell on the bed and didn't break anything. For obvious reasons that "set the bedroom door latch" statement made it to my pack-up check list.

Campbud, we never have had ours come loose, either. It fits tightly. You may have found the problem or maybe the wheel bent when the door was sliding around during travel. I wouldn't think there would be enough movement at that location when on the road to break the latch loose unless it is not properly adjusted or the latch is somehow defective.
