Route 9, East bound in Vermont

Hello everyone. We are moving to Vermont from FL and I'm trying to plan the trip there. We are going to be cutting into Vermont off of I87 by Albany NY. Has anyone driven RT 9 in Vermont before with your rv in tow? We also will have our 26 ft moving truck. I'm hesitant to take anything but main highways, but I want to bypass the whole Hartford/Springfield area. Any input would be great

I live in the Springfield mass area and know that area to be hilly 2 lane roads with some quick steep grades ..in my trucken opinion I would take 90east from 87n[albany area]it's exit 21a you will see to masspike go to mass 30 miles [to mass line] and get on mass pike to exit 4 for 91 north 1-1/2 hours north to exit 3 in Vermont where you want to go. , this way is easyier on the brakes and no one will be sounding there horns at you on rt9
Once you are just rideing around in your car you can check out the fine senery around there...hope you like snow and ice and cold..
Funny I am looking to move to florida or s carolina myself.
