RV Trip Wizard - RV Life Signup
I tried to signup and purchase RV Trip Wizard. It would not let me because I previously, about 6 years ago, also had a Jayco forum login. So now I can't use the application I paid for. They had no issue with taking my money and charging my CC, but I can't get their attention on email to fix this.
Who knew I had that old account laying around. Been a MOC forum guy for 6 years. I must have browsed all manufacturers forums before I bought my Montana.

I'd appreciate that. I'm sent emails to their admin and to their support email address. Nothing yet.

I have been able to get into RV Trip Wizard now so it appears I have a active and valid account.
The new warning to folks is the MOC, Jayco Forum, and Trip Wizard are all the same account if you try to use the same email address. So watch out for security issues about having multiple sites with the same login email and password. I'm concerned that a forum I don't login to anymore has a password that is the same as a site I've given a credit card to.
I'd prefer to have different passwords for the MOC site from my Trip Wizard site.

Glad you were able to login. It's possible to maintain separate IDs using unique e-mail addresses and if you need some help with that ping me. That said, we don't store financial info (even at trip wizard).

I'm glad you don't save financial info. That's a good policy for all websites.
The problem with multiple emails just for each websites is the extra work required to check each email account, and to maintain multiple email spam filters so you don't miss important emails and get too much spam. It takes years to get these filters right and starting over again with a new email just for one website is not practical.

Please explain how you don't store financial info yet you have a feature that allows recurring payments every year for the annual fee????

We use a 3rd party to process payments. When your expiration date is approaching an alert is generated (to you) and then the card that you entered is charged. The card info is not stored in your account or on our servers. If you notice the little payment screens you'll see "powered by stripe". They handle the card processing and this "one step removed" provides an extra layer of protection. Your billing info is actually handled by the processing bank.
There is no perfect solution when financial info is passed but we've worked hard to find the best solutions out there. As an aside, you can configure your Trip Wizard account (once you've joined) to disable the recurring payment. Look under the billing settings.
If someone breached your Trip Wizard account they could: - Plan new trips or edit existing ones.
- They could renew your trip wizard account but would not be able to make other charges.
- They could add a new payment card to your account (to extend your Trip Wizard account) but again could not make other charges.
- They would not be able to see the full card number on the card you had used to set up the trip wizard account

I appreciate the detailed information about how your charge system works.
