Love Michelin
Just put new tires on my Sierra. Had LTX AT2's on the truck and they were great!! They are 60,000 mile tires. Replaced them with 58K miles. They had some additional tread but wanted them off before snow season. Put another 4 LTX AT2'S on again.
Had a hard time finding LT tires in Stock anywhere. No one had them and spoke with Michelin....all of their LT tires are not being made...at least those compatible with my truck...265 70 18. They had an off road tire available...that was it. Michelin must be having mfg issues? Eventually lucked into finding them at Walmart. Had the delivered and put on Saturday. Alignment done by the dealer.
Very happy getting 60,000 miles from a 60,000 tire. Doesn't happen very often...at least for me. I do rotate them per GM spec every oil change.

I remember reading that they do production runs of different tire styles and tire sizes at different times, rather than a continuous run of all. So if they are currently short of a particular style or size it may be due to waiting for the next production run. True or not, I don't know.
I have always had very good luck with Michelins and continue to use them as replacements when my OEM tires wear out.

I run the 70,000 mile LTX's. Don't really care if i get the limit on the tires. I'll just get a discount on the next set from Discount tire if they don't make there 70,000 miles. Michelin has always been the best tires on the market and if you have the 6,000 pound axles on your 5th wheel then the michelin xps ribs are the best for that application.

Lucky you. I had the same tires and pampered them and got 19,000 out of them. Neither tire dealer nor Michelin would pro rate. Made me madder than a swatted hornet. Never will buy Michelins again.

WOW, that surprises me Jay. I had the same tire back when they were 70k tires. I had 48K when I thought the wear was excessive. Still wasn't down to the wear bars. Expressed my concerns to my tire dealer. He forwarded tread depth to Michelin. New set of same tires for 40%. (60% discount) Can't beat that for customer service. They must have learned something as the new tires only have a 60k warranty.

It surprised me as well. Maybe I was just unlucky. I just bought Toyo Open Country AT2s. Hopefully they will be MUCH better.

I have Michelin tires on my F250. I have 77,000 miles on the truck. The OEM tires lasted about 30,000 miles the 2 sets of Michelins have lasted 47,000 miles. I have 20 inch wheels and would love to get anywhere close to 60,000.

We went through two sets of Michelin's in about 40,000 miles. They pro rated both sets, one at 75% and the next at 50%. Now, they have changed the composition and reduced the tread life claim. But, they are holding up much better.

The OEM tires are apparently not the same as replacement tires, even though they are the same brand and model.
Why new tires wear out so fast.
Even Michelin's warranty home page touting its "Promise Plan" has fine print stating "Original Equipment tires are excluded".
