Greg & Cindy -

What a co-inki-dink! This will be Dave & I's first winter as Retiree's. We retired on the 1st of March and have been loving every minute since we did. We have been on the road a good bit and will be traveling to Quartzsite from Castroville, TX (our stick house is in Georgia). Tthe best part of retirement is the freedom of not having a "time or date" that we have to back to Georgia for that four letter word (work). This trip which includes the one to Quartzsite is our first extended trip (more than one month away from the stick house). This retirement gig is way cool! Don't you think?

Hope to meet you in Quartzsite.
Dave & Olga Noel

I had to dig out of a big snow bank to start the trip down south. I'm tired of -35, and a lot of snow. I can hardly wait to get to 80 degs, lots of sun, you know all the stuff YOU promised us when you said come down to QS and enjoy the winter. Wellllll according to the weather reports it's 40 degs right now, you better be throwing the switch pretty soon. We will see you guys by the end of the week.

Sacramento has been much nicer than that. Who said you had to move to Montana?

So Rich,

Glad to hear you nominated Butch as the spokesman. Butch will be here on Friday.

We are just south of where we were last year. No one else is here, yet, but some are to arrive today.

Please note: Because members have alerted the ranger that we have a large group that may be overstaying the 14-day limit (like the wagonmaster who is trying to save a spot for everyone), we may be forced to move the circle to a different spot.

The coordinates and directions will be posted in short order.

Sorry Robbie. I thought Butch was already there according to the sign up sheet, my bad. I don't want to PYO and have you take my Assistant Wagonmaster position away. See you on Monday.

WOW - I see there are 65 Monty's signed up for the "Circling" for 2011, what a site that will be! Is this the norm for this rally? This is our first trip to Quartzsite and only our second time at a Rally where Monty's are gathered. We are itching to get there see ya'll real soon. Dave & Olga

OK, we are on track to get to leave Dallas on 1/19 putting us into Q on 1/21 or 1/22 depending on weather and driver fatigue.

The problem with our 'floating' front end on the 3400RL was that the three bonded aluminum rails holding the fiberglass to the frame separated. This allowed the walls in the front end to slide up and down causing the wall in closet to buckle. They inserted wood into the aluminum tubes and put screws through the rails and wood into the frame. The whole repair procedure was provided by Keystone in a 15 page document.

We are now waiting on the parts needed in the refrigerator recall. Hopefully, that won't hold us up. Also, our Syvania microwave has developed a short since our last trip, so that has to be replaced as well.

Robbie, strike us from the list this year. Our puppies are not doing well, and we don't want to add the extra stress of travelling and unfamiliar territory to their lives. We'll miss everyone and the wonderful times we've had.

Bob and Sharon,

We are disappointed you won't be joining us this year, but we do understand, and hope you will be here next year.

Take care, and best to the puppies.

Just seen your post been out of the country for 10 days, yes retirement is great, as one member has said, its the best job I ever had.

Its time to get the fifth wheel ready to go. I will be there on the twenty second or earlier if possible. See you then.
