Dennis, I think they all ooze out like that and crack. Mine certainly has. I continue to watch for leaks. We are in our 10th year and everything is still water tight. I thought about trimming off dry and cracked portion but decided why fool with something that's not broke. As I see it, it's really just a cosmetic thing and at my age I'm not that into cosmetics anymore. Truth be known I am probably the only one that notices it on my rig. Jim
