After-marlet steps
My wife took a nose dive off the steps yesterday. Well, not really a nose dive, but that sounds better than what hit the ground first. Nothing broke, but sore and bruised. I want to replace the 3 steps original with a 4 step aftermarket.
Does anyone have a recommendation?

A lot of the newer rigs are equipped with 4 step aluminum. No idea the cost, but your parts dept could be a starting point.
Steel 4 step from Lippert is around $262.00.

Just Google RV steps. Got our replacement ones from Amazon, but there's lots of other sellers.

We replaced our 3 step with Lipperts aftermarket 3 step. Both of us have bad knees and they are strong and secure. If it's the distance off the last one that's the issue, that's a problem, because many places we go the 4th step might be lower than the ground level. For times when the ground falls away we carry one of these: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...+s%2Caps%2C213

Been looking for a platform & step arrangement, lite weight, made to "fold up" and transport. Has anyone seen something like this?

You may also want to look at a longer handrail. My DW has taken a few headers out of RVs and the last one i was able to see why it happened. when she walks down the steps the short handrail causes her to start twisting and then she falls. I purchased a handrail from etrailer that was longer Stromberg Carlson Model AC-500 was perfect for a 4 step goes right to the end. I had mine powdered coated black but i also had to machine the mounting blocks to accommodate the powder coating.

We've had one of these for the last 4 years and hauled it from Florida to Arizona and everywhere in between. We love it, but you need the space to haul it and the cash to afford it, other than that it's great. http://www.sunrisedecks.com/rv-4-step-porch.html

First judging from your signature you have a 2007 Mountaineer. I am not familiar with your model but the Montana's of that era had a 3 step entrance with the 4th step being a well inside the coach and the 5th step being the floor of the coach. If that is the setup you have a 4 step entrance may not work. The 4th step may be too low to use.
