We started in September of 2017, we plan on sticking with it for a minimum of 5 years and then see how we feel, so far I would rate our travels as an 8 from 1-10.

My husband and I are full timers. Started Nov 2017 and will continue for the near future. We bought a trailer because of the high living costs in the area we were moving to. Many of our family members have had Montanas and having such good things to say. We haven't traveled much so far but we have a trip planned in August to Blue Spring state park in Florida. We love our Monty. Good and bad days. Our rig is a 2007 so that has come with some challenges. But overall I'd say 10!

granet-we have been full timing for 11 years now!Unfortunately we are stuck in the cold as I've had a stroke and the cost of travel insurance is prohibitive-therefore we are in the foothills of the rockies in Okotoks,Alberta,Canada.

My wife and I have been full-timing since March, 2016. We started in a 35 ft travel trailer and within 8 months traded for a 2017 Montana 3791RD. We have towed from Kansas to Florida back to Kansas, then onto Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and back to Florida for the winter. Now back in Kansas seeing family before heading back to the east coast and Florida for the winter again. Love full-timing. Rate 10.

Wife and I have been fulltiming since 15 June 2018 when we sold our home and moved to FL. Not a great place for the summer due to heat but my active duty military service assigned me here. I think I am at an 8 and my wife is probably a 5. But we plan to do this at least until I retire and then a few years to travel so we probably have at least 5 years. The experience is getting better as we adjust.

We began semi-FT for 6-8 months in 2015, 2016 & 2017. This year hit our goal to go totally all on the road. Been such a great journey! Following much cooler temps, boondocking and some volunteering during the year. Wonderful life!

Dreamersandtravelers, that is very similar to our plans as I still have 2-4 years until I am retired and able to travel full time. But we are living it our Montana full time in Florida. I am interested in volunteering when we do retire as I imagine that although “retired” in name I won’t be on vacation full time as I don’t think my budget would allow that. Any recommendations to volunteering or where/how you find organizations that need your help. Thanks.

We search & apply to each state park website where we'd like to volunteer. Have done MI, OR & FL. Many offers appear we cannot get to due to commitments or distances. There are also other sites to register and many states bid out parks to contractors who then hire hosts. (For now we avoid those jobs.)

Full Time RV'ing

We have been full timing since December 2016. I rate it at 9.9 (the 0.1 I excluded was from various traveling woes, such as our original truck (2001 Ford F350) overheating, burning out transmission, brakes, etc. But since we sold the truck and bought a Semi (Peterbilt C15) and converted it as an RV hauler, it has been a 10.0. Been places I only dreamed about. Eastern Washington State (Kettle Falls) is my favorite summer location so far, with Casa Grande, AZ in the winter.

2017 Montana 3721RL Legacy
2007 Peterbilt C15 Semi (best decision ever) Don't even know 5'vr is attached.

We retired in June 2006 and have been full time since. We started out with a 35 ft. Travel trailer. We then went to a 30 ft. Motor home and then a 35 ft. Georgetown Motorhome. We now have a 42 Ft Montana Fifthwheel and love it. We plan to keep this lifestyle as last by as we can.

yes, we gave it two years of thought. Was going to go with house sitters but not sure of the type of renters out there, so made the decision to sell the stick house and go full time. We have a 3 year and 5 year plan. If after 3 years we didnt like it would sell rig and go back to a stick house. We have passed the 3 year mark and now shooting for the 5 years. As of now we cannot be happier, and would rate it a full plus 10 (with some lower marks as RVs sometimes need fixing). But Life is good and being retired, cant figure out how we had time to go work!!
