Well now for a new problem amoung many, Our Norcold double door has died. It seems as if the high temperture overload swith has operated. This is the recall item that prevents the refrigator from catching fire. I have been told it can be reset with a magnet, and this is what will be done when I take it in for service. They will reset the switch watch it a day or so, and if it doesn't operate again will send me on my way. Then it will go out again at a later time.Anyone with this problem? My unit was purchased in February of 2012 and I have an extended warrenty.

Nope, ours is running fine. We do have the overload switch installed.

Our high limit switch also packed it in last year when we were down in Yuma, I managed to get a mobile service fellow to come and check it and replace it since he had a couple in stock. Seems this circuit board is a problem. He also told me that when washing the unit if water gets into the vents and onto the circuit board it will destroy the board. I now have mine covered with a zip lock bag and have had no more problems. I had posted a picture on a previous post.
I was not told this could be re-set in any way, I use temp switches all the time and never heard of that. I would not settle for anything less than a replacement under warranty.

Good luck with the problem.

I agree. Replacement would be the only option I'd allow.
