Ahh. Those good ol' Mission tires.
Click on the search box at top of screen, enter tires in the search box, select subject only, and you will get several previous discussions on what tires we have all put on ours.

We have a 3465SA on order. I'm planning on installing Goodyear G614s when it arrives. That will require a rim upgrade as the G614 is 110psi max cold pressure and the tires/rims that come on the Montanas are 80psi max cold. The G614 has the same diameter as the factory tires. They are rated for about 300 pounds higher weight capacity per tire. We'll sell the new tires and rims that come on the RV to help offset the expense. Other forum members may have better suggestions that would allow you to stay with the same rims.

We put the Michelin XPS rib on our current trailer and would have loved to move them to the new trailer but the tires on the 3465SA are rated for 3400lbs and the Michelins are only 3040lbs. You'd be giving up 1600 pounds of tire capacity with the XPS ribs.

I believe you will find the rims shipped with new Montana's are rated for 110 PSI. Many members have upgraded their tires to G614's on the current rims with Tredit's blessing. There is no need to buy new rims (unless the thought of Chinese made aluminum rims scares you). Do a "Search" on G614 and you will a wealth of discussion on using the latest rims.

Thanks Carl (n Susan). No need then for new rims. That will certainly help our budget.

Cindy, make sure you do so extensive research on tires, as you can put good LT 235 85 X 16 tires E rated that will handle your Monty with no problems and still be within a reasoanble budget. Easier to buy/replace a good LT (Truck) tire that is made in the U.S. and will give you superior service and warranty then any ST (Trailer) tire.
We are running Delta LT tires on our Monty 3400RL and have about 6000 plus miles with no problems; cost was very reasonable. We took our Good Year Marathon ST tires off immediately when the rig was new.
Had previous bad experience with these ST tires on other trailers.
