New from Ohio

Hello! New owners of a new to us 2003 Montana 3295RK. This is our first 5th. wheel. The 5th wheel is currently on a lot in a campground,so we have had a chance to use it... but we haven't pulled it.
The tow vehicle is a Chevy 3500,CC,DRW,D/A, 4X4. So as soon as I can settle on a hitch we will GO FOR IT.
This forum I am sure will be a great help.

Tom n Gail,
Welcome to the forum. I replied to your e-mail and after noticing your rig wanted to pass on a little something that may be of consideration. Since your Monty is approaching 5 years of age, you probably need to do a close inspection of the tires. If they are the original tires, they need to be inspected closely for sidewall cracks (these can be small so look closely). 4-5 years is typical replacement time on RV tires but I will let more qualified tire experts (LonnieB??) chime in with their advice. As I stated in the e-mail ask away and instant advice will be forthcoming, this is a great forum!!!!!

Welcome to the forum Tom and Gail! Enjoy that rig.

Bingo is right, we replaced tires on our 2003 last year. They separated at the tread but hadn't necessarily worn out. 3-4 years is about it given the abuse they take.

Congratulations and enjoy that new unit. I also agree about the tires.
