Rear camera question, which one is it.

Have a question for the ones who have cameras on there camper. I bought a 2016 Montana 3791rd back in May from a used RV dealer that he bought from a auction. He said the monitor for the truck did not come with it when he bought it. So the question is how can i tell if its a back up camera or a observation camera. When at the campground and disconnected from the truck and its dark out i can see the little lights on each side of the camera are lite up and just plugged into shore power. So does this mean its wired hot all the time and would mean its a observation camera or no. I was going to contact Furrion to see if i could buy a monitor separately and pair up to the camera, i would like to have the observation style camera anyway. Would hate to have to buy a whole new observation system if the only thing needed was the monitor for the camera already mounted. Thanks Chuck.

I have a camera and monitor. I couldn't figure out how to use it, etc. Here is what I'm told and I haven't tested this yet. I believe you should be able to just get the monitor as it pairs with the camera (of course get same manufacture or part for monitor). This only works if you have the 7-pin connected to your truck. This is what powers it on the rig. Then, you should be able to pair, and when in reverse, see behind it while backing up. Hope this is helpful!
