Lippert (?) leveling system

We have a 2011 3665-RL and I have a couple of concerns about our system. I'm assuming we have a Lippert system (how can I tell for sure?). It seems like one of the front jacks (closet to the service panel) is acting up. When extending the jack, after its taking the weight, it (periodically) makes a sound like it could be slipping a gear. Is there any test I can perform or is there any way to service this myself? It IS NOT a self leveling system.

I take it you DO NOT have the hydraulic leveling system with 6 jacks. That would be a Lippert (LCI) system).

You must have the the two front lifting electric driven jacks (with interior leg extensions that you manually lower/lift and hold in place with pins) and rear electric stabilizer supports. This system uses a drive motor (on the drivers side) that turns a horizontal bar connected to the left and right jacks. This bar turns the internal gears in each leg to extend and retract the legs.

These jacks have been known to strip a gear or break a shear pin. They are fairly easy to remove and examine. I have some diagrams of the Venture Manufacturing legs which were used in earlier Montanas. Even if your legs were made by someone else, the principles are the same. You can pop the cap on the drivers landing leg and there should be some identifying information on it..

Lippert (?) leveling system

Thank you for your quick and helpful reply. We're sort of new to this (2nd year) and as we venture out on longer tours, we are discovering more and more "issues". Linda (wife) joked the other day that if I'm not fixing or replacing something everyday, I wasn't having a good day. Luckily, we have had anything major (YET)
