Agreed. Some believe that all that additional grease could hold in more heat. That's why I am firmly against using the EZ Lube method, in addition to the need to pull hubs to inspect brakes anyway.

If you pack by hand then there is no reason to use the grease fittings at all. The the only thing filling the hubs does is to push all the old grease out of the bearings and out the front of the hub to ensure both bearings get new grease.

I used the EZ Lube feature several times over the 14 yrs I owned my 2007 3075RL with never a problem. And I can tell you for a fact the filled hubs do not overheat, even towing hundreds of miles a day in TX heat well over 100 degrees. But as I said before, I do not recommend others use it due to problems some have had.

2022 Montana legacy

We bought ours new and have been living in it full time since then. With living in it full time we haven’t had a chance to take it in for maintenance but it is time. I was looking for some advice on how to lube our slide outs and any other yearly maintenance tips! Thanks in advance
