Door problems

For "FT"'ers...anybody who is stationary had a problem with their entry door sticking?

We are level and it seems that the front door on our 3750FL is beginning to rub and stick causing locking problems.

Any suggestions? I've looked at trying to adjust the door but they have rivets and cannot be adjusted.

Could the door lock mechanism have loosened?, check that.
Something happened to cause the problem, if it was not like that before.
Try raising the front, check it, then raise the rear and check it.

I've thought about possible settling, also thought about blocking up (8x8x16) along the I-beam as we are not planning on moving anytime soon. The top of the door has a visible gap and the lower part of the door definitely has a difference in gapping. Thought about weight and balance in that area too.....

To give a more accurate location of what I am talking about, look at our tinyURL pic where the front door is open. The location I am talking about is on the top left on the transition from verticle to the curve as you are looking at the open door from the outside.

We took ours to Keystone Customer Service last year at the Rally. Problem was the storm door and it stuck so bad that sometimes the door would open and the storm door would still be stuck. They did something and it got better. I took the door off this summer to have storm windows installed and I've got the problem back again. Not as bad, but still a problem. That's one thing I intend to talk to a tech about at the Rally.

Make sure the little triangle shipping shim has been removed.
They are located on The bottom of the door on the latch side.

We do not user our rig to full time in and we are having a door problem. It is just very difficult to close. It has to be just right and even then it is difficult. Put some silicon on it and that seemed to help for about one day! That doesn't seem right.

Also we've noticed that the last couple of times when we arrive at our destination the door is not closed! Kind of scary. We will use the deadlock on it and see if that helps.

I have inspected the door jam and all seems good and solid and the door mechanism itself seems to be in proper working order. Just another little bug to work out. If anyone has any ideas as to what the problem might be I'd appreciate hearing about it. Thanks, Dennis.

Talked to Customer Service today, she asked me the same thing, not there.....only suggestion from Keystone was door replacement (out of warranty) So I don't see that happening anytime soon.....thanks anyway......I'm going to try to re-level and also check out ome strategic 8x8x16 block plcement to see if there is any change between top and bottom.

My door changing over time when we sit for several weeks and sticks or closes harder, My hinges are wearing so that will be a issue someday unless some has a fix.

Very unconventional but a possibilty. Seen this on the final assembly line at GM. Doors that don't close right and body lines that aren't right, they use a 2x4 and pry the door in the direction you need it to go. I have done this myself and it has worked. Just use good judgement when doing the prying and do it a little at a time. Sometimes things need to be tweaked!! Now if that would just work on my body, it needs tweaking also. lol
