Route from Bryson Cuty, NC to Gadsden, al

Trying to find a good route from Bryson City, NC to Gadsden, Al where there are no very narrow winding two lanes with large boulders over hanging the road . Is any one familiar with Hwy 60 and 136 W coming from Bryson City?

(Reverse the first line and 1/2) Just did Bryson City thru Nantahala Gorge to Murphy NC to Cleveland Tn. No boulders over road but very windey, twisty, narrow road with no shoulders--not fun. GPS wanted to route us thru Gainsville Ga but as we were staying only 1 mile from I-40 we went Knoxville- Chattanooga-Gadsden-Pell City coming back. Much easier.

Carole: I have looked at Google Maps and Garmin Maps for Hwy 60 and 136 West of Bryson City and I can't find those routes. However, if you use Google maps and force it thru Franklin, NC, you come up with this route. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Bryson+City,+NC+28713/Gadsden,+AL/@34.9738717,-84.0252697,62588m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m19!4m18!1m10!1m1!1s0x8859485dcff22 a55:0x8489c3ad289b7785!2m2!1d-83.4473809!2d35.4309291!3m4!1m2!1d-83.2764858!2d35.2924989!3s0x88593e75964f8fb1:0x145 e091db5e3c105!1m5!1m1!1s0x888a3c087faa57ab:0x3dcf6 2effad71470!2m2!1d-86.0066386!2d34.014264!3e0. I have ridden this area many times on motorcycle and this would be the route I would take. The road from Bryson City to Franklin is mostly 4 lane divided highway. From Franklin to Murphy NC is curvy but very doable. From Murphy to Ducktown is also not too bad. The main issue is between Ducktown and Ocoee. This is real curvy and rocks come up close to the road but do not overhang. There is a lot of traffic in this area also due to the White Water Rafting industry. There are a lot of old trucks and school buses that carry rafts and people to and from white water areas. Your only other options is double your miles/travel time and take Interstate up thru Knoxville and then down toward Chattanooga. Good luck.

Thanks everyone. We have been that route around the Ocoee with a much smaller Rv. I would never do it again. Motorcycle yes but not my Rv. Scared me to death. Think we will go thru to Knoxville/Chattanooga.
