Choco Culture NHP, New Mexico
Has anyone been to Choco Culture NHP in New Mexico? The park is NE of Gallup. Are the roads to the park gravel as indicated on some maps? If they are gravel how far are they gravel to the park?
Thank you in advance for your input.

We entered Chaco from Bloomfield on 550. The 1st five miles off 550 is paved then it turns to gravel for about 20 miles, and most of it is washboard(10 to 15 mph unless you want to shake your teeth out). We did a day trip and did not pull the rig. This is a very good and interesting NP. I highly recommend seeing it, worth the road to us.

Thanks for your replies. We do plan on visiting the park. Looks like we will leave the rig someplace and make a day trip. Mikey did you tow to the park or did you leave your rig someplace else. Joe

last time we were there a few years back, we only had a a popup and we camped at the park.
we plan to go there and camp this coming march
if leaving the rig probably would find a rv park in bloomfield or farmington so after a day and long ride a nice warm shower and my own bed---long drive
we will take the 3400rl bur drive slow on gravel and pack well
i think a day trip will make you want more
we especially like to go out to the ruins just befor sunsat, it's majical
mikey feel free to call 505-820-6406
