Guys, How Do I Get To The Back Of The TV?

Greetings,

I'd REALLY like to replace the analog standard definition TV in my 2006 Mountaineer (PHT-342) with an LCD HDTV. I have NO CLUE how to get the factory TV out or how to even get to the rear of it. Would someone be so kind as to help me out on this one?

I really need some help!
Jerry

I'm not sure if your is the same as mine, but I just replaced mine. Had to pull out the TV tray and remove the 4 screw in the bottom of the TV. The screwa go up through the bttom of the tray and into the TV. 2 were easy to see the other 2 were to the back and not so easy to find.
Good luck

Jerry, There may be a screw on the SIDE or the TOP that may have a small plug covering it on the wall or shelf. That screw is the hard one to find. If your's is like mine, you will need a second person to hold the TV while you unhook the cables. Mine would only come out about 3/4 of the way, and I was by myself. TV slipped, wires pulled and luckily I only broke a splitter.

In my trailer, there is a panel in the toilet room that can be removed to access the rear of the television. Good luck.

The TV in our 303RLD has three screws that are accessed in the lower cabinet (below TV). They screw through the shelf into the chassis of the TV. Like someone said, either have a helper or perhaps set a chair next to the entertainment center to sit the TV on.

SlickWillie,

Many Thanks my friend for the great info! Followed your advice since it was the most applicable to my situation. Accessed the TV from the bottom....................took two screws out and the TV slid right out. Can't wait to replace that heavy old tube TV for an LCD HDTV. I am so happy to start working on this----another project. Can't thank you guys and gals enough!

Regards,

Jerry
