Hmm, Keystone vs Tireco
Found on the way to search something else. Did not read it all, YET.

Very, very, interesting. Leads one to speculate. I envision a very huge pile of Mission tires Keystone does not want to use.
I would love to know more about that, as I have to make a decision whether to accept payment for one tire, or give-em-hell and see what happens.

I would venture to say that it could make it very difficult to get replacement or reimbursement in the future. That is only my opinion since I am far from a lawyer, but usually when companies are tied up in lawsuits, good things usually are not forthcoming from those being sued (namely Tireco).

I would think you are right. They sure don't want to appear to be admitting more liability. I just emailed them and told them to put my claim on hold. They only want to pay me for the tire that failed, so if I never get that, I won't be much farther in the hole. I intend to communicate with Keystone somehow and see if they can tell me anything. Perhaps their litigation will help get a recall going.

When companies are flush $$$ and having an issue, it can, lots of times be settled away from the courthouse. This could be or could this be, another sign of the times?

It's for 61,439 Mile Star ST 225/75D15 M633 bias tires that were voluntarily recalled by Keystone and TireCo. Keystone alleges that TireCo owes them $657,787.50 for replacing these tires, and TireCo is alleging that Keystone was supposed to keep the recalled tires and since they didn't TireCo doesn't owe the agreed upon money per tire.

I also noticed in the Tireco "dockets" section, there is a clase by Tireco against the Nankang Rubber company on the grounds of "Motor Vehicle Product Liability.
