Black water flush ?

Just picked up my new Mountaineer TT and noticed there is no outside black water flush. That was one of the reasons for a new rig.

Has anyone installed the option ?

Dealer sold a flush kit to me and said to drill a hole in the Black water tank and install the kit. Sounds simple but.......

I'm rather surprised that the dealer didn't offer (at a price I'm sure) to install it. But then again, reading about some of the dealers, nothing really surprises me about them any more.

My 2003 215 RTS TT didn't have an outside black water flush so I had the dealer install one this last summer. Works great and it cost me only $30 for parts and labor. I also have one of those clear plastic elbows that fit between the sewer hose and the outlet. That really makes "flushing" the black water tank really easy.

Greg - Several years ago I got one of the kits from CWorld and installed it on the tank on my Aljo. Installation was smooth, follow the directions and it should work fine. When we sold the unit 2 years ago to get a Montana the flusher was still working great. It was a very simple install. Mike

I installed one on my SandPiper and also one on a friends Coleman. A 1" or 5/8" wood bit in a drill, access to the black tank (cleaned out) and self drilling metal screws for the hose end mounted on the frame.
If you a mechanical at all it is not hard to do.
Good luck and safe towing.

I installed one on my Mountaineer 5er. The biggest issue was figuring out how to get the covering out of the way enough to get to the black tank. The plumbing comes through the cover so it took some pulling and twisting to get the cover out of the way. After that installing the flush kit was breeze, then putting the cover back was another puzzle. I had to go back in because the hose popped off (guess I did not tighten the clamp good enough) and getting the cover on and off was much easier the second time.
