ROUND BATHROOM FLOOR VENT
How does one remove the round floor heat vent in the bathroom without breaking the vent ??
I want to vacuum out the vent but have no experience on removing this type vent.
Also, will the ceiling A/C vents come out the same way as the floot vent ??

If I remember right when I had the wall off in the basement I think there was a collar holding the duct to the vent that would also keep the vent from being just pulled up ( I just don't remember the exact set up). On the AC vents, ours are held on by two screws.

On ours we can just "pry" it up. It has a couple of plastic clips that hold it in place so you might want to run the heat for a bit or make sure it is warm before prying it up to prevent breaking the clips.

Ours came up without any issues...sorry, do not recall if it also had "clips" to deal with????

Ours came up by gently prying up the tabs on the vent. In order to minimize the need to vacuum the floor vents, which have to be un screwed, we put in some floor register filters that do a great job of keeping dirt and yellow lab hair out of the vents. We found them at Lowes. Right next to them we also found some magnetic overs that I a great job of staying in place during the time we have the A/C on. We had our grandchildren paint pictures on each for some added art work. When we have the A/C on they go on the oven.

An old pair of the DW 's panty hose makes a good filter. You'll probably need to trim a piece to fit.
