Hwy 80 in Davis

We had the funniest experience today, just finished getting gas in Davis and a woman bangs on Jim's window. He rolls down the window and she says that she is MOC #49 - well he did not have a clue what she was talking about (thought she was going to pop him in the chops because we were taking up so much space at the gas pump). She explained and pointed to our new decals (got them in Quartzsite in Feb) with our MOC # 9161. She and her hubby had seen us drive by and she made him turn around and follow us to the gas station so they could say hi. Such a small world, we had never met Doug and Margee, but we sure know all the same usual suspects.

Nice to meet you guys! Hope we see you again in Siskiyou - may not make it as it appears Jim has to have back surgery again, we will know in a week or two.

Oh rats! Vicki beat me to the MOC to post our encounter.

We live about 5 minutes from that gas station and were on our way into Sacramento to shop for kitchen cabinets when I saw the Montana with the MOC stickers. We did a u-turn and made it back to the gas station before they left.

It was a great (but short) meeting. I hope we see you at Lake Siskiyou but understand if Jim's surgery keeps you from the rally.

Take care, and we'll meet up again.

Doug and Margee,
Wow does this sound familiar! Seems just like yesterday that Doug and Margee were knocking on our door in the Vineyard RV park. What a pleasant surprise that was. We remember ever so fondly that encounter. Thanks Doug and Margee for the wonderful memories.

So Vicki I conclude you had the RV out for an adventure? Does this mean there might be a blog update in your future? It has been pretty quiet on your blog for a while.

We are on our way to the Bay Area for a week. Our latest adventure is Jim's upcoming surgery and the fact that we are looking at houses in Benicia! We have put our Magalia house on the market and hope to move back to the BA. We both miss it too much and I miss being closer to my family – most of which still lives in the area. As one friend told me – “why move, you are never home anyway.” She was referring, of course, to our numerous “adventures” in the Montana, which we still plan to do. But, when home I would not have to drive 3 hours to visit my grandsons or go watch one of their games.

Vicki.... Benicia is a nice town. I lived there (1973-1975) on West "H" Street and the town was upset because a Safeway grocery store was allowed to be built and which also caused the existence of the town's only signal light at that time.

It was great meeting you, I"ll have to go hang out at that AM/PM gas station at the Mace Blvd. exit off of I-80 and see if I can meet up with any other MOCers.

Dennis, I tell ya, I used to watch your tracking system and when I saw that it looked like you were camped at that campground outside Vacaville, I just had to take a ride down there and meet you. I'm glad I did.

We will be sorry to see you leave Magalia, but understand about being closer to grandkids.

Give me a call when you get a chance. Friend in Paradise had the same surgery I've heard Jim is possibly having and they have doc reference if you need one.
