Wenatchee River County Park, Monitor, WA.

I would like to recommend the Wenatchee River County Park in Monitor, WA. It is just 8 miles from Wenatchee, a short ride to Leavenworth and Lake Chelan. It is a beautiful area in Eastern Washington, close to everything, right on the river on Highway 2 crossing the state. It is a park with lots of trees, and large RV spots. I am a person who has to have lots of grass and trees, so this is the spot. The management is super, the grounds are always neat and clean and the area has everything anyone could want. I highly recommend this park if you are traveling in Washington, State.

Yes, this is a very nice park. Only problem is it gets very crowded in the summer and hard to get in at times. I cant remember how to make reservations now, but I believe its a county park.

We always stay there on our way back from the Twisp/Winthrop area. Very nice park along the river. Beautiful fall colors around Oct.

Mel & I stay there every year when we go up north. We love it! Especially if you plan to stay a month or longer and your lucky enough to get a reservation! They have gone to online reservations now, and if your looking for "extended" stay you have to book it almost 2 yrs in advance! That is because they have only 1 "loop" they use for extended stays and there are only like 6 or 7 sites on that loop. However.... We like it because it is perfect for having our grandkids stay with us. Beautiful mature trees for shade, all grass, the river is just behind the loop, its all fenced in on either side of the park so you have lots of privacy. We stayed in the furthest back site last time and the kids had enough room to play baseball. Like I said, We love it!

Hey Dennis looks like you spend some time at Fort Warden in Port Townsend. Did you take the photo that is in your signature there?

Larry, yes that picture is was at Fort Warden a couple of years ago. Before we started going south for the winter, we would go there right after turkey day and spend some time in that area. Also we have spent New Years Eve there also in the past. Great Park, lots of hikes and good views of the water. We are now at Two Springs RV Resort in NO Palm Springs. Then heading over to the Q rally in Jan.

Dennis I am sure everyone is going to have a great time in Quartzite. Might be a few years before we are able to make it down there. Besides my folks live in Q and have 3-4 spots for hookup in their yard so would be a hard decision to have to make "hookups or dry camp".

We spent a week this last Sept. at Ft. Flager and had a great time. We were lucky to see one of the Nuke subs come thru while we were there.
