Kitchen Countertop

We're thinking of replacing the countertop in our 3685FL with either a granite or quartz countertop. Has anyone replaced their's? What kind of material did you use and how easy/difficult was it?

Thanks to all,

I don't know how much counterspace you have in that floorplan but whatever the area, weight would be one of my first considerations. Because of that I would rule out granite. I'm not too familiar with quartz.

May I ask why you are changing it.

They make a material that will go directly over your existing tops. It is scratch, heat, and stain resistaint. Go to www.granitetransformations.com I have them on my counter at home and they are wonderful. Not as expensive as granite and better than corian, also less weight.

That looks really great! How much is "not as expensive as granite"? Just glanced quickly... did I miss the pricing link?

Wow Granit will be very heavy unless you check out that new stuff that looks like it, I seen it on that TV show DIY network.
