Converter replacement

DW called me at the shop in a panic. the refrigerator was not working the propane moniter was squeeling away and all this was linked the the Apocolypse.
Anyway found the battery was dead. Troubleshoot that and found the converter was not working. I know I am not the first to have the problem. So what recomendations are there. Is there a better converter that maintains the battery better? And where to buy online. Already been to CW online.

Dick,
Was the 110VAC breaker tripped for the converter?
When my IOTA converter quit(boiled the battery)I needed one now and bought one from the closest RV dealer.
I got the INTELIPOWER 9260. It is a 60Amp converter and has a remote display. It does show the three stages of charge.
Normal mode - Output voltage set at 13.6 volts DC.
Boost mode - If the converter senses that the battery voltagehas dropped below a preset level the output voltage is increased to 14.4 volts DC to rapidly recharge the batteries.
Storage mode - When the converter sense that ther has been no significant battery usage for approximately 30 hours the output voltage is reduced to 13.2 volts DC for minimal water usage.
Equalization mode - When in storage mode the microprocessor automatically increases the output voltage to 14.4 volts for 15 minutes every 21 hours. This will help to reduce the buildup of sulfation on the battery plates.
If I was buying one again I would get 80 amp but this 60 amp works fine and I like to watch the status.

Anyone know about a Xantrex Truecharge RV XADC 60 Converter? It is 60 AMP 3 Stage converter that uses Power Factor corrected Charging that is supposed to use less AC current. Fact or fiction? http://www.bestconverter.com/XADC-60...p_115-243.html
