Oxidized Wheel Rims

We have a 2017 Monty and the rims are a mess. They are covered with aluminium oxide that seems to be permanent. Outside of buying new rims, is there any way to improve on the look of my wheels?

Before I retired, I owned a Wheel Repair shop. I believe your rims have a machined finish that is clear coated. If they look oxidized, someone probably sprayed them with wheel cleaner (an acid) and didn't rinse the acid off quickly or let it dry without rinsing. There is no way to reverse the damage.

They can be re-machined and clear coated, probably around $200 each. You may be able to purchase new ones from for less.

Other alternative is to remove from rig, clean them, sand, bust the bead, mask off the tire, and paint the face. If you're handy, you can do it.

^ that is what I thinking. Sand blast with fine sand and repaint.

For your cost and time, I'd just replace with new. Or call a detail expert and let them clean them. It's amazing what the right person, with the right product, and with the right tools and skills can do.

You might consider painting them with simple white or black paint.
