Transporters ya gotta fear them

Was at the dealer picking up our camper. Almost have all warranty items fixed.

Was asking them if Dicor will work on the roof. I have 2-3 tubes I have been carrying for a while now and want to make sure I have the right stuff.

well they said they had just replaced a roof on a new one and they would check to see what they used.

Seems it turns out when they did an inspection after the transporter brought it in, he took a short cut through low branches and took out the entire roof on a special ordered Monty.

They could never answer my question about dicor.

Another trasnsporter came in and you could see he dropped one one his bed.

We had to be home fast one year after the National Rally and headed west into the night. We were constantly passed by haulers exceeding the tires speed limits and watched one take a travel trailer over multiple curbs in a rest stop.

Big reason when I ordered mine, I went to the selling dealer near Elkhart and picked mine up, and took it back to Utah.

Yes on the Dicor question

Jeff, there are two different Dicor products. One is self-leveling and the other is regular Dicor putty in a tube. It can be used on the edges of the unit where the self-leveling has to be used on more of a flat surface. I keep a tube of each in the Monte all the time. P.S. Check the tubes to make sure they have not dried out. They have a tendency to do so if they get to a certain age! Kind of like any of us! LOL
See you at the Fall Rally!

Thanks it is the self leveling kind. I go through a tube or 2 a year. I am a bit heavy handed with it. On my roof you can tell where the roofer had either started or finished for the day.

Im wondering how and why you go through 1 or 2 tubes a year? I have always been told to NOT mess with the Dicor sealed areas unless there is an issue.

I DO inspect my roof several times a year (4-6 times) minimum, to look for any issues that may be starting to occur at that time is when Ive taken measures to correct them, with the Dicor products.

I may have over stated the amount I use. I do apply Dicor on anything that is starting to crack or show any hint of an issue. If I do not not use the whole tube is dries out before the next use.
