Coax color coding
We have had some issues with the wiring of the flat screens in our 2019 Montana. I was able to find the wiring color code chart for the RV, but we need to know the color codes for the flat screens. We have orange, grey, and beige coax - does anyone know which goes to air, satellite, and cable? We appreciate your input.

Knowing the RV industry, I dought the colors mean anything. Simply the colors they had on hand that day of manufacture.

Montana brochure claims “exclusive color coded wiring”. But I don’t know that they will provide a chart for what the colors mean.

See picture:
Orange is the satellite from the side panel. The white cable are for TVs in bedroom and living room, the black is from the DirecTV SWM box. The RV splitter was replaced by the DirecTV tech due to the higher amount of resistance it was causing and blocking the signal.

Mine was so badly done in my 2018 3950BR that I ripped all of it out and replaced the lot with premium quad shield RG6 cable and high end BiDi splitters and added some terminating caps on the unused ports. I used home run methodology to ensure the minimum amount of splitters and connections to keep the signal strength up. I took the opportunity to run cat6 to the various TV's also...
I also keep a run of RG11 quad in the basement to hook up to a campground source or can use it to remote mount a sat dish if I boondock under trees. I invested in a labelmaker and each end of the cables is tagged so it is easy to identify.

I use a mix of internet services from business class cable to viasat and 4gLTE stuff. Depends where the fiver is located. I have some black box tech that lets me aggregate broadband connections when needed. I had a roll of Cat6 left over from another project so it seemed the best way to do things 8^) While I have good WiFi in the fiver I still like wired connections for streaming 4K. Since this is my retirement rig I thought I would future proof it somewhat and add gigabyte Ethernet etc....
I do have a few puters in the tech closet though and they tend to be somewhat hungry for bandwidth.....
