This on my wish list, when I have the money: https://rvroof.com/what-is-flexarmor/faqs/

Also Snap Pads are rated well. Bought some, but have not had the chance to install yet.

We have the Moryde 3 step with no handle and there is no problem. So I cannot completely answer your question.

We bought something at the RV show in Tampa last year that I really like. It goes on one of the steps and looks like plastic grass. It is for wiping your feet on the way up. Of course you may want to brush the dirt off it before putting the steps up, or all the dirt ends up inside the trailer.

I do have a machine washable scatter rug in front of the door which I can shake out, and of course wash when needed.

I believe a couple of thousand - depends on the length. Here is the request for quote from the website. Looks like it would be worth it for long term. https://rvroof.com/get-a-quote/
