100in wide body

I always wondered why Montana does not have the Wide Body 100in frame,Alot of SOB's do it and makes a nice difference in room inside,Our less expensive High Country's and top of the line Big Sky's do but not the Montana?? has anybody asked that on the Tours at the Rally? That is one thing I like about my buddies Solitude it is roomier in the Hallway and bathroom

The High Countrys have it and they are lighter and less expensive. It might be the factory is set up to run the narrower unit. But that is just a guess.

Some states only allow a width of 102" (without a special permit). With awnings permanently attached, the width is over that. See this article http://rv-roadtrips.thefuntimesguide...07/rv_size.php . Some states allow for "appendages" such as mirrors, etc., but some do not.

As of 2016, the High Countrys have gone back to the narrower width. The 2015 (my camper) is a wide model and I was a little concerned about it, but heck, the mirrors on my truck are 109" wide! I haven't had a problem.

I would guess it is a cost saving measure as Keystone has other models that are wide body's. I would say their thoughts are if they can sell them just fine as they are why change. They do not seem to want the Montana line leading the pack in innovation. It seems that you can get all that in their Alpine brand. Just my opinion.

I think Alpine is still 96in wide as well, you would think as many other brands do it,they could too,The Jayco Pinnnacle is 102in wide Grand Desingns 101in and I do not think they have gotten in trouble,I love my Monty but that would have been nice having that....OH WELL next 5er in a couple of years
