Awning lights failed

Hope someone knows about awning lights. We have a 2017 3661RL and the awning lights stopped working. The switch lights up when it is in the on position just no lights. I got the ladder out and looked for a connector but couldn't find one. If it exists it must be tucked into the body behind all that caulking.
Any thoughts on either further troubleshooting or where the disconnect might be?

Thanks
Darin

Try looking for 3 amp fuses behind the panel where the switches are.

Use your meter and check for power at the strip outside.

There is a new post on the Keystone Forum with someone having this exact issue on a 2016 Cougar.

I would definately locate the fuse. If that's good then check whatever wires you can see for wear. Check connector and switch for power. Buypass the switch to see if the switch is bad.

Also, once you locate the connector, you can unplug it and jump 12 volts directly to it to make sure the lights work.

Check the fuse first then pull the wires out of the caulking and find the splice (there will be one). Use a multimeter to check for voltage at the splice. If you have power there replace the lights. If you don't have power there then back up thru the system.

IF you don't have a multimeter and know how to use it, get one and learn!! That is the most valuable tool you can have on your rig and it will save you a LOT of hassle with going to repair shops when you don't need too!

Thanks everyone. I replaced the fuse just to make sure. No lights. Grabbed the multimeter and was going to check the switch first. As soon as I started multimeter lead broke. Go figure.

Question: When I pull off all the caulking any recommendations on replacement caulking?

You can find silicone caulking in a color that would maybe match at any hardware store. That's what I used but not sure if it is actually what your supposed to use.
