mounting shower hanger

I bought the metalic showerhead hanger for the Oxygenics shower head.
I don't want to screw it to the shower wall. Any suggestions?

Return it and just use the plastic one that came with the rig - we have been using it that way for about a year, now, and it hasn't slipped off.

Besides Might Putty, there are some new stick-on technologies out there. I don't remember the name of the soap dish we bought, but it stuck on and has not fallen off (yet). There were lots of other similar stick-ons in the area purchased at. I want to say I got it at Wally World. Hey! I'm a senior CRS citizen.

We got the stick on soap dish and stick on hook for the shower at Lowes and also a stick on 2-brush tooth brush holder, but had to use the mighty putty to stick the toothbrush holder on the wood cabinet over the sink in the bathroom.

We too used the original hanger but the problem was it is mounted too low for me at 6'1", so I just mounted the new hanger in the corner above the faucets with the shower head just an inch from the ceiling. As far as how I mounted it I used the 3 double back tape strips that came with it and used 1 #8 x 1" screw in the middle that is hidden behind the handle support. As a bonus there was a shower side wall mount just above where I mounted the shower hanger so it should be real steady and not have issues with road bounce (I hope). BTW DON'T use the screw that come in the package as they are way too long FYI and would keep the pocket door from sliding on our 3400 with a corner shower.
