SCT Flash in Towing Mode

I have my Ford F360 6.0 diesel SCT Flashed to 65 HP Tow Mode. I was wondering if I still needed to activate my "Overdrive" On/Off button on the steering column, so I contacted SCT support.

I was surprised to find out the "Tow" mode on the steering column does NOT need to be activated if your truck has been SCT flashed for 50hp or 65 hp Tow mode while towing.

My question here is does anyone use the "Jake Braking" option on their SCT flash while towing?

I use a DP tuner on the old 7.3 for multiple tunes and yes I do have one that activates the butterfly valve in exhaust. It does help somewhat but it is not as efficient as a Banks Brake or other similar brands.

I see you have done some work on your 6.0. You should have a good tow truck.
Not many people here have tuned their trucks so they can't answer your question. My truck is Spartan 210 HP tuned but it doesn't have an exaust break so I can't help either. Call STC and ask them.
