Fuses?

We are so sad not to attend the Rally this year and are on our way home to FL. so I can see the neurosurgeon next Thurs. Everything worked well this morning. When we stopped tonight the outlets in the kitchen/living area won't work. No TV, microwave, etc. All fuses inside check out OK and thankfully we do have air. Any suggestions would be appreciated ASAP! Thanks!!

Ruth, check the GFCI outlets to see if any have tripped. This is a fairly common occurrence.

Sounds like the same problem some others have had recently. If you are on a 50 amp feed, one leg is probably not energized. If you have a 50 amp to 30 amp dog-bone, you can switch to a 30 amp shore cord if you have one and see if everything works. If it does on the 30 amp, then the problem is in the park power pedestal. This should be the first place to check, hope it helps.

Since these may be on the same circuit, another common problem, and one I encountered on mine, was loose wires connected to the buss bars in the breaker box. These buss bars are strips where the neutral and ground wires are secured by screws. Those screws do come loose when bouncing down the road. You might want to remove power source from trailer and open the breaker box. Check for loose wires to the buss bars. Some may show a slight brownish coloring on the white insulation of the wire. This is caused by heat due to the loose connection. Check both buss bars (grounds and neutrals).

Good luck. Let us know what you find.
Tom

Thank you! Thank you! Changed the 50 cord to a 30 and everything worked! Glad it was no major problem!
