New to the Group, but found a lot of good info here, so maybe I can contribute on this one.

We have the 5th Airborne Sidewinder on a 2007 2500 Chevy Clasic Crew Cab Shortbed Duramax. Since this is our first 5th wheel (2955RL, 2007, but built in Aug 2006), we decided on this pin set because I am sure I would mess up big time if I could not turn a full 90 degrees. Since We have never had one, can not say what the improvements are over a standard Pin set. But talking with other 5th Wheel owners, they comment on the bucking and stuff when crossing bridges and train tracks. All I have ever felt was a rocking back and forth on these, similar to letting up on the fuel quickly. But no sharp jerks, and so far have not had anything move around in the 5th wheel. Everything stays in place.

As for turning, no problems, I need to back into a single car driveway, then back 200 foot and make a hard left and then right to set it next to our house. This is all done on gravel with a slight incline towards the house. Have not come close to touching.

Originally I was going to go with just the sidewinder, but looking at the writeup on the 5th Airborne Sidewinder (with Shock and Air Bag) decided on it. It was costy, as the truck was new, I had the dealer add the hitch (Husky 16K) and Pin set together and the cost was $2500 compete for both installed.

I hope I explained this well enough, but feel free to ask any questions.
