Door Replacement

The entry door on my 2010 3000RK failed (horizontal cracks on the inside panel). I just received a new replacement assembly. Has anyone out there ever replace their door assembly. There appears to be a metal bezel over the mounting screws that needs to be removed, but I don't want to damage it.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

That screw cover snaps over dual edges of the door frame and has to be pried off. It's near impossible not to damage it ... at least the starting end. You might consider ordering two. They come cut to length. Once the screw cover is off, remove all the screws as well as the rain cap. Try sticking a putty knife under the frame all around the door as the dumb dumb is really stuck down ... then start prying the entire door assy off. Be sure to use a backer if you are prying against the exterior wall or you'll have little tic marks in the gelcoat all around. My dealer's tech didn't (imagine that) and the dealer had to take my fiver to a body shop to fix the tics before I would accept it back.

Think you'll have to also remove the inner window assembly to be able to change out the inner panel...as well as door lock assembly. Good luck. John

As I understood it, the OP was changing out the entire entry door. Perhaps I misunderstood. I don't think they'll sell just the inner panel.

Thanks for the help. Yes, I'm changing out the entire door. I plan on doing it this coming weekend.
