RBW Little Rocker 15K Hitch

We have just ordered a new 3400RL Montana Fifth Wheel trailer. We presently own a 2005 2955RL which I have been towing with a 15k RBW Little Rocker Hitch. According to the Montana website, the dry weight of the 3400RL is 11,800 lbs. We ordered the high gloss gel coat on the sides of the trailer which weighs 400 lbs. extra for a total of 12,400 lbs. I will be carrying approximately 1500 to 1800 lbs. maximum in the trailer. At the very most it should not weigh any more than 14,200 lbs. maximum. The pin weight is 2000 lbs. My feeling is that this hitch should be ok but would like to hear from others regarding this issue. Thanks for your help.

We are on our 2nd RBW and love it. The first was still good but when we bought the new truck we decided we should have a new hitch. The other one was 12 or 13 years old. Ed painted it about every two years to keep rust down. The RBW is what our local RV tech recommends and he is very, very good so we trust him. We have the 3400 but no gel coat.
Happy trails.....................

Our 07 3400 has a GVWR of 14k. The newer ones have GVWR of 16k. I'd check to see what your GVWR will be prior to determining whether or not you should upgrade your hitch. If your GVWR is 16k, which it probably is, I'd get a hitch with a higher capacity. FWIW, that 2000 pw is the empty pw, add 500 for a realistic pw of 2500.
